Dr. Jill Stetzel Torkeo

After graduation from Bishop Dwenger High School in 2011, Dr. Torkeo followed closely in the footsteps of her heroes, her father and grandfather. Dr. Jill attended Indiana University in Bloomington where she earned her degree in Biology and minor in Psychology in 2015. She then attended the IU School of Dentistry, where she graduated with her DDS degree. During dental school, Dr. Jill was involved in many student organizations, including the Graduate and Professional Student Government, the University Hearing Commission, the IUSD Professional Conduct Committee, the Student Professionalism and Ethics Association, and many more, where she honed her leadership skills in preparation of her career in dentistry.

After graduation, Dr. Jill continued the Stetzel tradition of involvement in organized dentistry. She serves on the Isaac Knapp District Dental Society’s Board of Directors where she serves as secretary, and is a member of the IKDDS Young Dentist Committee Board. She is Vice-Chair of the IDA’s Government Affairs Committee, and is involved with IDA’s New Dentist Subcommittee. She also has involvement with the Isaac Knapp Government Affairs Committee and Membership Committee which she chairs. Dr. Jill also serves the profession of dentistry at a national level, as a member of the ADA’s Advisory Committee on Annual Meetings. She volunteers her services as a participant in and donor to the Donated Dental Services program, and she serves on their Board of Directors. She also participated in the Indiana Mission of Mercy Free Dental Services Day in 2019. She is a regular donor to both the Indiana Dental and the American Dental Political Action Committees.

Dr. Jill has trained at the LD Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, FL, and is a graduate of the Indiana Dental Association’s AIR Program. She is also member of the first ever cohort of the IKDDS FLIK program. Dr. Jill is a proud Fellow of two honorary dental societies, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the American College of Dentists, an organization that only 3% of dentists are invited to join. Dr. Jill finds great fulfillment in volunteering her time giving back to the profession that has been so great to her family for generations.

In her free time, Dr. Jill enjoys cooking, watercolor painting, playing tennis, and spending time with her husband and high school sweetheart Jake, their daughter Scarlett, and family golden-doodle Luciana. She also loves to spend time with her family, and enjoys learning with and from her younger sister Leah, who is an Orthodontist in Tucson, Arizona.

Dr. Torkeo looks forward to continuing to serve the patients of Stetzel Dental Group, and to fostering the special relationships cultivated by her amazing team.
